Site Update

Mixx it Up

mixx.png First off, andablog was also extended an invite directly from the guys at Mixx.com, a social bookmarking site with friends for large publishing companies. It's kinda like if Digg and Twitter had a baby and gave it away to USATODAY.

Mixx was founded by Chris McGill, formerly of Yahoo and USA Today, Mixx aims to offer a place for large publishing companies to get into the social media space. Mixx enables users to contribute and discover stories, video and photos as they blend their own mix of the Web. I'll be providing some insight into that more this weekend, when I'm at the Creative Marathon.

And Now on to our site updates.

We have now updated our sidebars and footers with information that we felt was more relevant for the user and we hope will increase your usability of the site. The sidebars now show the last 5 articles from each user.  If  you are looking at archives you'll only see the blog owner's recent 5.

We moved the categories and archives to the footer, because no one was utilizing them at this time. Also we have updated both Incarna's and my archives to now provide weekly archives for faster retrieval. Before you had to sift through 30+ articles since it was monthly. And speaking of archives, we now have pagination!
