Blog Introduction

I thought about adding an about me section to the site, and I may do that over time. But at the moment I’ve decided to fill out my blog with a little personal info to fill out some entries and get this blog off to a good start. I figured I’d start with a the purpose of this blog.

This blog originally started off with the intent to hosting a web comic/video and has branched out in epic proportions. The comic/video is still on it’s way, to give you a little background it’s called , which stands for “Be Right Back Away From Keyboard”, it’s a fantasy focused comic that focuses on gaming, social networking, and guild(group) interactions between real life people and their avatars. Whatever the final form of the comic ends up being is still in process of being developed by 3 close friends.

We were trying to find the best way to promote our comic, we thought about just doing a website solely devoted to the comic with a couple fake character blogs to start. Well we took that and morphed it into something called, andablog. Currently we are only in phase 1 of andablog, my blog. Soon, both other friends, will be joining the blogging network. Each will be able to provide you with their various takes on both the comic and our lives. Each of us is so drastically different from each other that it will provide you with endless entertainment. Once these phases are complete our comic will rear it’s head from the womb which is andablog.

Now I’d like to tell you a little about my role in the blog. I come from a background in multimedia development and design, I live in Pittsburgh, PA and currently work for the marketing division of a company that focuses on helping Fortune 100 companies save some cash. Ultimately I’m a developer first, and a designer second. This is the reason why my blog went up first, I didn’t want some default blog template so I took some initiative and designed the layout for the site (thank god for modifiable templates). I have to give some thanks to a fellow friend and twitter, Rachel Arnold aka righteoustetris, who helped critique me through the design process. Oh and to even further give her a plug, if you haven't had a chance to look at her book, A Sum of David, you should check it out!

The process took about a week to get the blog stable, and to view it properly. Now I’m satisfied with some of the features, I’ll be looking into any bugs, design flaws, ect…so if ya see something send it my way. In other wards, my role is site admin, and you’ll see me spend a lot of time “geek’n” out about random tech and possibly give back to the community with a few “how-to”s .
